With Dana Glass Properties' ongoing commitment eco-friendly and Adaptive Reuse projects, we are pleased to announce plans for the adaptive reuse of the David Brubacher barn in Warwick Township. This local historic landmark, built in 1855, is representative of a Lancaster County Bank Barn. Visitors will glimpse back into life long ago when they stay at the Newport Inn and celebrate great food, friends and fun at the Newport Grille.

The Newport Inn will have 27 state-of-the-art rooms complete with flat screen TVs, high speed wireless connectivity and even a romantic bridal suite. The Newport Grille will house a traditional Irish Pub and Restaurant.

Architectural Plans are being finalized as preliminary conversations with Warwick Township have been favorable. The formal approval process shall begin shortly.

A bank barn or banked barn is a style of barn noted for its accessibility, at ground level, on two separate levels. Often built into the side of a hill, or bank, both the upper and the lower floors area could be accessed from ground level, one area at the top of the hill and the other at the bottom. The second level of a bank barn also could be accessed from a ramp if a hill was not available. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
